Randy Wade

Randy is a native of Oklahoma who migrated to Texas while in junior high. Upon completion of a bachelor's degree in religion at Baylor University, he married his college sweetheart, Marlo, and began work on what would one day become an earned master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves as one of the three co-pastors and has been a part of c|Life since it began in 2006. Randy is affectionately referred to as the "staff police" and is always available to join you for a meal. Randy and Marlo, along with their kids — Sydney, Micah and Sutton — make their home in Kaufman. You can keep up with Randy at www.randyjwade.com
Paul McDill

Paul McDill has been with c|Life since its beginning in 2006 as one of the Co-Pastors. Paul has been married since 1993 to his high school sweetheart, Jill. Together they have four kids: Caleb, Noah, Joshua and Julia. In his free time, Paul likes to immerse himself in family, reading, all things sports, snow skiing, Alabama football, and Sunnyvale Raider athletic events (where his kids play, and Jill is the girls' varsity basketball coach). Prior to c|Life, Paul served various local congregations for 15 years as a student pastor, teaching pastor, and minister to adults. Paul grew up in Mesquite, Texas, graduated from Baylor University, and is a licensed motor vehicle operator in the state of Texas.
David Griffin

David Griffin serves as one of our co-pastors at c|Life. He has been with the church from its inception in 2006. David’s favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife, Courtney, and their five school-aged kids. We would try to name them all, but we would undoubtedly leave someone out. David suffers from a pathological love of sports and enjoys long, analytical conversations with friends. Despite the fact that David is a bit “nervy” and a chronic over-explainer, he is relationally focused (even if his ADD does cause him to occasionally ignore even those friends who are closest to him). He cherishes the unrushed opportunity to have lunch with new people and hear their stories. David has a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Cheri Akers
Forney Preschool Lead
Cheri was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she met and married her husband, Aric, in 1993. They moved to Forney the same year. Together they have five children: three sons and two daughters, as well as two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and two grandsons! The Akers family began attending c|Life in the Spring of 2009, and Cheri joined the c|Life Staff in 2016. Working for c|Life at the Forney campus has filled a long-time desire to work in an official ministry capacity, and she loves every minute of it. One of her favorite things about her ministry is the opportunity to partner with families to lay the foundation of faith in our youngest congregation members!
Bob Avery
Business Administrator
Bob Avery joined the c|Life team in 2017 with more than 20 years of experience in church administration. He loves traveling with his wife, Judy, mostly to visit their five grandkids. If you don’t think so, just ask him — he will be happy to show you pictures of the entire crew. He also enjoys riding his Indian motorcycle and tries to take at least one long trip each year. 2016’s trip was to Glacier National Park in Montana. Bob grew up in Dallas and graduated from Hillcrest High School. He still enjoys spending time with his many friends from Hillcrest and hosts a homecoming party each year.

Laura was born and raised in Garland, Texas. After graduating high school, she went to work for the City of Garland Police Department and was there for 11 years. She met her husband, Dean, on a blind date, and they got married in 2006. Since Laura married into the Army, they have lived in Oklahoma, Washington, and now, back in Texas. They have since left the military life and reside in Forney with their daughter, Olivia, who was born in 2009; their two Siberian Huskies, London and Kodi; and their cat, Baby. When Laura is able to find some free time, she loves reading anything by Francine Rivers or Lynn Austin.

Even though Blake was born in Texas and is proud of it, he is one of the biggest Oregon Duck fans you’ll ever meet. He and his wife, Kristin, were married in 2003 and have four kiddos: Cade, Avie, Nate and Niya. Blake joined c|Life shortly after it started in 2006. He graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a bachelor’s degree in communications, which only took him seven years. He is an aspiring hunter and is always ready to meet someone for a cup of coffee. The last thing you need to know about Blake is he loves Jesus and people.

Casey has served on staff at c|Life in a variety of roles since 2007. That is also the year that he married his wife, Lauren. Together they have four children: Sawyer, Dayton, Auggie, and Ruby. Casey is a graduate of North Mesquite High School, the University of Texas at Austin, and Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM). If Casey weren’t a pastor, he would likely be pursuing a fledgling career in comedy. Nobody laughs at his jokes more than he does! Casey loves presenting the truths of God’s word in a compelling and impactful way. His life verse is 1 John 5:4 — “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

Jerrod grew up right down the road in Garland, Texas, where he found a passion for writing and theatrics early in life. Basically, he embraced his wild imagination and never let go. Years later, while a part of the college ministry at First Baptist Church Sunnyvale, he felt God drawing him into full-time ministry and, before he knew it, he found himself serving in more ministries than he could count — teaching, leading student ministry, college ministry, drama ministry, video production and scaring teenagers in a gorilla costume. (Yes, that’s a thing.) Somehow, in the midst of such crazy times, he had the good fortune to meet the love of his life, Krista, in 2009. Two years later, they were married and have been in an unstoppable partnership ever since. After serving at FBC Sunnyvale for over a decade, Jerrod felt the next big call of God upon his life and stepped into his current position as c|Life’s Creative Director. With a strong desire to point to the beauty of the Creator through artistic expression and to unlock the creative potential in others, Jerrod hopes to take the creative ministry in this community to new heights. Meanwhile, when he’s not playing tabletop games with friends, he’s busy being a television enthusiast, literary nerd and lover of storytelling in all its forms.

Joe was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and had the extreme fortune to meet and marry his wife, Lindsay Brimer Paris, who was a resident of Mesquite, Texas. They were married in 2009 and were later blessed with two beautiful daughters, Lola and Harper.
Joe spent the first 13 years of his working career as a Christian school educator. The last six years he served as the spiritual life director at Peoria Christian School, where he served as an administrator and taught courses on worldview and apologetics.
Joe joined the c|Life staff in June 2016, where he currently serves as the campus pastor at Sunnyvale. His life verse is 1 Chronicles 12:32. Joe loves to read, play golf and play basketball, but nothing tops spending time with his family.

Casey grew up in Mesquite, Texas. After graduating from Mesquite High School, he went on to college at Eastfield, and then University of Texas at Arlington before going to work for the City of Desoto as a firefighter and paramedic for seven years. During that time, he also took the role of worship pastor at his previous church. He married a lifelong friend, Ashley, in July 2008. In October 2009, they welcomed into the world their son, Colton, followed by their daughter, Avery, in April 2016. Casey has been involved in ministry at c|Life since 2011, and was hired on full-time in 2014 as the Associate Worship Pastor. He enjoys all sports except soccer and loves to play golf any chance he gets.

Kyle Roseberry

Kyle was born in the lovely state of Colorado, but moved to Garland as a pre-schooler and spent his growing-up years here in Texas. He was a regular church attender and became a follower of Jesus at the age of 10, but didn't truly understand what that meant until he joined the Army, where he had to fully rely on God alone. Kyle attended a few colleges before he settled in at Golden Gate Theological Seminary and studied Christian ministry there. Kyle surrendered his life to ministry just after he met his soon-to-be wife, Amy, and a year and half later they were married. They now have three kiddos. Kyle joined the team at c|Life in December 2014 as the Children's pastor at the Forney campus, and his prayer for the KidsMin is that parents and kids will draw closer to one another as they draw closer to the Lord. He has a strong passion for families and how impactful they are on their kids' lives. In his off time, Kyle enjoys hanging out with family and friends, doing anything outdoors and building things. Kyle is always ready for a cup of coffee and a good conversation.

Marlo is originally from the Texas panhandle, where the wind blows constantly, the land is flat, and the sunsets are gorgeous. She graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences, and met her husband, Randy, there as well. After working with children for 16 years vocationally, and serving in the preschool ministry at c|Life from the beginning, Marlo joined the c|Life staff in May 2013 as the Preschool Campus Director at our Forney campus. Her favorite part of working at c|Life is connecting with parents and watching preschoolers sing to, pray to and worship God. Fun fact about Marlo: since she grew up in a farming community, her closest neighbor was two miles away, and she started driving at age 5. She and Randy make their home in Kaufman with their three children, Sydney, Micah and Sutton, none of whom will drive before turning 16.
