c|Life is committed to establishing and maintaining healthy relationships as reflected by our motto: CONNECTING PEOPLE TO GOD AND ONE ANOTHER.
c|Life has chosen to accomplish this through Community Groups (CG's). This is based on the conviction that a person cannot be fully obedient to God's Word if they are not closely connected to a small group of other believers.
This model is taken directly from the early church. Acts 2:42-47 describes the lifestyle of the members of the church in 30 AD: people meeting regularly - in HOMES - growing and making an impact in their community (Jerusalem).
Sunday A.M. Worship serves primarily as a catalyst to encourage life transformation (people changing/growing); Community Groups complement the corporate worship experience at c|Life.
All c|Life members commit to become an active participant in a Community Group when they become a member. A c|Life Community Group is defined as two or more people who covenant to meet and pursue these objectives.
Community Groups provide in-depth study and application of how to make this life transformation become real in people's lives. They are designed to provide a predictable, small-group environment where participants experience authentic community, accountability, spiritual growth, and a base for ministry.
42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.
44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common.
45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,
47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
